The game will be broadcast on Comcast SportsNet and NBCSN, and the broadcast is set to air on NBC Sports.
Trotz tweeted Wednesday that the game is scheduled to be broadcast at 7:30 p.m.
The Capitals are coming off a 2-0 preseason loss to the Dallas Stars, and are playing with three key players who are expected to start the season in the lineup: Dmitry Orlov, Joel Ward and Justin Williams.
The Stars are one of three teams that the Capitals have said they are not interested in acquiring, and there has been speculation that the team is looking to move forward with their plans to bring back the likes of Braden Holtby and Marcus Johansson.
The two games are the first time the Capitals will play the team that beat them on Wednesday in Boston, and they are the most likely game the Caps could play as a team in the preseason.
The Caps are hoping to use the first preseason games to get some practice in with the rookies and see how they fare against the team the team has been calling the “Big Three” of the Capitals lineup.
