NEW YORK — It’s the holiday season, and that means it’s time to get into the holiday spirit with the holiday edition of the escort news roundup.
The season’s been full of great stories and highlights from the industry and escort companies.
Here’s what you need to know.
New York City has been busy as of late, with more than 50 new cases of gonorrhea and syphilis reported this year, bringing the total in the city to at least 200, according to the New York City Department of Health.
The New York County District Attorney’s Office has also been working on charges of child pornography, and New York State Police have begun an investigation into sexual abuse of a minor by an escort, the NY Daily News reported.
The top-rated escort, Julie G. from the Los Angeles area, is facing child pornography charges after police found images of a young girl in her bedroom and photos of her wearing a dress with a white top.
Her lawyer, David Bowers, said it’s unclear if the girl is the victim of an abduction or if she was a victim of sexual abuse.
The escort industry is booming.
In New York, more than 200 new cases have been reported, bringing its total to more than 2,000.
The most recent data from the FBI shows there are now more than 5,600 women and girls in New York state working as escorts.
They are mostly single, and most are in the industry for a fee.
Many escort agencies are not as well known as traditional escorts because of their location, but they’re becoming increasingly popular.
Many of the major escort companies offer online training and even have apps that can connect you to a person in need of an escort.
