A woman who refused an escort’s request to wear an eye mask and a face mask in a video released by the Chattanooga, Tennessee, police department has been sentenced to 90 days in jail.
Jail time was given to the 31-year-old woman after her boyfriend called 911 after she refused to remove the masks and face coverings.
The video shows the woman being approached by an officer who asked if she wanted to take the masks off.
She replies, “No.
I don’t want to be a mask wearer.
I can’t go on the street anymore.”
The officer then tells the woman that she must put on a mask and leave the scene.
She says she won’t and the officer leaves.
The officer later tells her she needs to “walk on the streets”.
The woman said she had been assaulted and that she was going to be prosecuted by the state Department of Public Safety for harassment and battery.
